Long Lunch In The Groves - Case Study
30 PAX | NOOSA HINTERLAND
The Long Lunch In the Groves is perhaps one of our favourite events! It was an exclusive ticketed event included in the 2018 Noosa Food & Wine Festival (now Noosa Eat & Drink Festival) line up. We collected our 30 guests from Noosa Heads in a private coach and whisked them away to the scenic Noosa hinterland to a private working macadamia farm. Being grounded on this farm was an experience in itself, but the day didn’t stop there! Guests embarked on a specialised tour of the kitchen garden hosted by the farmer himself. Sharing his tips and insights, he left the guests impressed before they meandered down to the macadamia groves.
It was here that they would discover a beautifully designed long table set in amongst the groves. Celebrity chef Matt Golinski designed and prepared a bespoke menu for our guests, showcasing local and seasonal Sunshine Coast produce. Canapes were served upon arrival along with wine tasting from a local Queensland vineyard. The wine maker himself poured wines, interacted with our guests and joined them for lunch.
A mini Meet The Makers stall was set up in the macadamia groves, providing guests with the opportunity to meet local producers and taste their produce. As the delectable entree, main and dessert were served, Chef Matt Golinski presented each course to the guests, explaining the source, combinations and story behind the dish. Shall we say that the guests were relunctant to depart this fairytale experience, but all things must sadly come to an end!
